Took a short break but I have still been watching movies. NEW BLOG UP IN A FEW DAYS!
Fight scene from Raging Phoenix, a movie about drunken breakdancing muay thai. And revenge or something. People get hurt, its awesome.
Character’s names are actually Pigshit (mohawk) and Dogshit (Long hair), too.
Bought this movie for $3 at a convention in 2010. THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME ABOUT IT!
Super glad I took an chance on a random netflix movie! Just watched a sheep explode and knock some a former assassin with it’s flying disembodied head. MORE ON THIS LATER!
Ezzy. I love you Logan.
IDK about that comment, but apparently we need to talk about Kevin? I’ll watch this and tell you all about it ASAP.

Hello again, friends. Looks like it’s that time again and this one will be short and sweet. Today’s film is one I found while scouring the dark depths of NetFlix (which I do more often now that it costs me $17 a month). It’s a nifty 2009 indie film by Travis Betz called Lo.
Lo is about a totally below average man by the name of Justin – aka Lunch (Ward Roberts) who finds himself with a book from hell that was left to him by his lover, April (Sarah Lassez). He uses the book to summon a crippled demon called Lo (Jeremiah Birkett) for the sole purpose of finding April, who was kidnapped by demons.
Justin soon finds out that the girl he is so in love with might not be the person he though she was. Still, he is absolutely determined to get her back even if it cost him his sanity or even his life.
Justin is instructed by the book to use a summoning circle, which is a good idea because as soon as he makes the request, Lo tells him that he and every other demon will take the first chance they get to kill and eat him. Not being able to leave the summoning circle, Justin spends almost the entirety of the movie sitting in one spot conversing with Lo and giving him commands.
During this time, Lo uses his demonic powers to try and dissuade Justin by having him take a look back at his bizarre relationship with April. Lo does this by showing Justin a series of small and dramatic theatrical reenactments that Lo has plucked directly from Justin’s brain (complete with their own stage hands and everything).
Now you might think that a film consisting almost entirely of a man sitting in a circle and having an argument with a crippled demon wouldn’t be very interesting, but you’d be wrong. What this film lacks in action and scenery it makes up for with good acting and wit. The dialogue is clever, interesting and is very reminiscent of Sam Rimi’s earlier works (Evil Dead in particular). It is also a prime example of how one can stretch a thin budget to hold up a good film.
This film is like a cross between Evil Dead 2 and Say Anything’s Walk Through Hell. It caught me off guard and I was mesmerized by the film the moment I started watching it. I highly recommend it.
You can find Lo on Netflix and also on the internet through most major retailers.
side note don’t worry we will talk about evil dead 2 a little later
and a very special thanks to My friend “Covert fangirl” for editing my awful spelling and grammar
